Standard X-rays show teeth in two dimensions. Silverlake Dental Group uses 3D imaging to see teeth, jawbone, nerves and sinuses from every angle, which reveals details a flat image can miss.

When it is used

3D images help plan implants, evaluate impacted wisdom teeth, look for hidden infections around roots and map anatomy before surgery. Better information up front means a more predictable treatment plan.

What to expect

The scan is quick and painless: you stand or sit still for a short time while the scanner rotates around your head. We only recommend a 3D scan when it adds information needed for your care.
