Dental X-Ray Systems
Seeing what an exam cannot
Dental X-rays reveal what is hidden from view: decay between teeth or under old fillings, bone levels around the teeth, infections at the root tip, and developing or impacted teeth. Silverlake Dental Group uses digital X-ray systems, which display images on screen within seconds.
Why digital
Digital sensors need less radiation than traditional film, and images can be enlarged and adjusted so we can show you exactly what we are seeing. They are also easy to store, compare over time, and share with a specialist when needed.
How often you need them
How often X-rays are taken depends on your age, your risk of decay or gum disease, and your dental history. We recommend images only when they are useful for your care, and we use protective measures during every exposure.
