What to Expect During the Procedure for Root Canal Therapy
At the start of the appointment, we will apply a local anesthetic to ensure that you are comfortable throughout the entire procedure. We will then create an opening on your tooth to gain access to the pulp. The pulp will be removed and the chamber of your tooth will be cleaned and disinfected. We will then seal off the area and place a temporary filling. A crown will need to be placed in order to protect the tooth. Multiple visits may be needed for treatment depending on the degree of damage.
